She scoops gold for her style too! Jessica Ennis wows in stunning monochrome dress (and her beau is the perfect accessory) at Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards


    She's already bagged herself an Olympic gold medal after a stellar performance in the heptathlon at London 2012 and now Jessica Ennis is fast becoming a style icon too. 
The athlete made an impressive entrance as she arrived at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards on Wednesday night. 
Jessica, 26, showed off her flawless figure in a plunging pearl and black dress by Stella McCartney, oozing sophistication in the process.

The light satin panel at the front of the garment complemented the Team GB star's complexion to perfection, in short, she looked sensational. 
Jessica teamed the dress with a pair of nude patent heels by Christian Louboutin and bright red lips for a showstopping look. 
The sportswoman joined a suitably stylish crowd at the magazine awards ceremony held at the lavish Claridge's hotel.

And it wasn't just the style stakes that Jessica was winning in, she also picked up the British Ambassadors of the Year Award along with Victoria Pendleton and Ellie Simmonds.
Looper actress Emily Blunt opted for a much brighter look stepped out in a flowing, tangerine halterneck gown. 
The 29-year-old star, who looked extremely trim in the dress, carried a small black clutch bag that boasted a ring handle.

Later in the evening she scooped up the British Actor of the Year Award.
Rosamund Pike also opted for fiery tones and wore a scarlet asymmetrical gown.

As well as displaying draping detail, the garment nipped her in at the waist with a bow. 
Not everyone was so bold with their colour scheme and L'Wren Scott, Jemima Khan and Erin O'Connor all stuck to a dark palette for the event.

French actress Marion Cotillard also wore black and arrived in a strapless gown with a fairytale netted skirt that stopped just below her knee, providing an elegant update to the party frock.
The 37-year-old teamed the dress with a pair of slingback white stilettos and glittering diamond jewellery. 
Marion took to the stage to be presented with the International Actor of the Year, while Stella McCartney was named British Designer of the Year.

The designer arrived late after trick or treating with her family to pick up her gong. 
The Queen was honoured with the Icon of the Year title, while Raf Simons, Anya Hindmarch, Ruth Wilson and Cindy Sherman all were recipients of awards. 
The winners received crystal awards, pendants and cufflinks made by Tiffany & Co. and luxury gift bags from Estée Lauder and Harrods.
