Well before she announced her pregnancy during her MTV performance, Beyoncé Knowles stood in her bathroom and filmed her bare bump using her mobile phone.
At the time it was a private way to capture her changing body, now it stands for the change of the pop star's career trajectory and, is one of the many very intimate snapshots the singer is revealing to the world in her new film about her life.
Beyoncé's directorial debut has left the singer 'scared', she revealed in a sneak peek of the still unnamed project on Monday.

'This is personal': HBO says 'This unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman'
Beyoncé also promises to show what she went through after the birth of her and husband’s, rap mogul Jay Z, first child, and how she then returned to the spotlight.
In an effort to show who she is as a person, some of the footage was shot by Beyoncé on her laptop, 'in which she reflects on the realities of celebrity, the refuge she finds onstage and the transcendent joy of becoming a mother last year'.
'Everybody knows Beyoncé's music, but few know Beyoncé the person,' Michael Lombardo, president HBO Programming, said.
'Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.'
The start of 2013 is set to be all about Beyoncé.
As not only will she be releasing her first documentary film, but 13 days prior will perform at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show on February 3.
Beyoncé has stepped in front of the camera before of course, but on a much, much smaller scale.
Beyoncé won Director of the Year at the 2012 BET awards when she joined forces with  Alan Ferguson to co-direct music videos for her tracks Party and Dance For You.
