Girls Aloud wow in metallic outfits for Top Of The Pops Christmas performance

Marking the end of their reunion year... Girls Aloud wow in metallic outfits for Top Of The Pops Christmas performance

It's been a hugely successful year for Girls Aloud, who marked their 10 year anniversary with a reunion, new singles and new album.
So what better way for the five-piece to top off 2012 than to perform on Top Of The Pops' Christmas special.
Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle took to the stage in stunning metallic outfits as they belted out their new track Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me.

Sarah led the way in a gorgeous white and gold dress, which featured long sleeves and a large thigh-high split on the right side, wearing her blonde hair swept to one side.
Strictly Come Dancing finalist Kimberley opted for a dress in a similar print to Sarah's, flashing some flesh with a sheer panel on the front, while Nicola opted for a blush pink wide-legged jumpsuit.
Nadine drew attention to her slender legs in a similarly coloured dress, which had sheer fabric draped on the front and the back, and a belt around the middle to highlight her tiny waist.

Cheryl completed the quintet in a plunging, long-sleeved white dress, with a slick of plum red lipstick to top off her ensemble.
But while the girls are undoubtedly still reeling from their success in 2012, it seems likely that they will have similar success in 2013.
Girls Aloud fans worldwide are excited about the return of the group in their reunion tour, which kicks off in February, with demand for tickets being so high that the band have even had to add more dates.
Hugs all round: The five-piece hugged each other at the end of the performance as they wished their fans a happy Christmas

And speaking recently about the tour, Cheryl said she is more than excited about getting back on tour with her bandmates.
She said: 'Girls Aloud is me, it's where I come from. I've had ten years of success. The fans of my solo work are Girls Aloud fans. Some of them were 7 at the time and now they're young women.
''I've got a lot to give back.'
Other stars to perform on the Top Of The Pops special, hosted by Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates, included Rita Ora, Emeli Sande, Florence Welch and Carly Rae Jepsen.
