She's one of I'm a Celebrity's most popular and upbeat camp-mates.
But it has been revealed that former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts faced a series of personal struggles before heading into the jungle, which has lead to her allegedly 'distancing' herself from her family.
According to reports, the US popstar has not only had to cope with her father's bankruptcy but also with her younger brother's numerous arrests.

Sources have told The Mirror that although the blonde star is close to her mum, she has struggled to cope with her father in a bid to focus on her career.
'It’s terribly sad. Pat used to be so close to Ashley but in recent years their relationship has become strained,' said a family friend.
While the father and daughter were close while she was growing up, Ashley's father Pat went from being a musician himself, in band Mamas and Papas, to filing for bankruptcy.

According to reports, a number of his business ventures failed and despite remortgaging his house, he was left with no other choice.
'He was forced to file for bankruptcy, which really hit the family hard. It really has been a difficult few years for everyone,' the friend continued.
While Ashley's career went form strength to strength after joining the Pussycat Dolls, her father's took a nose dive.

If that wasn't enough to deal with, Ashley's 26-year-old brother Jayce has been arrested a number of times, putting added strain on the family.
The 31-year-old star has allegedly made the decision to distance herself from her family's problems.
'Ashley has distanced herself from everything. I suppose she is being careful and looking out for her career. We haven’t seen anything of her in a while. She’s close to her mum but that’s about it,' said the family friend.

Ashley's former bandmate Nicole Scherzinger has spoken out about her friend's time in the jungle, saying just how proud of her she is;
'She’s already won them over, this show has been awesome for her. I knew she would make it this far, I knew she would take it,' she said on ITV2.
'She is making the pussycat doll name proud. I'm proud,' she added.
