As a Victoria's Secret Angel, Erin Heatherton knows how to prance around in a bikini like no other.

The 23-year-old model was showing off the latest beachwear on a photoshoot in Miami on Wednesday.

Erin expertly danced around in the ocean in a colourful bikini and turquoise cover-up before heading back to her hotel room in a grey maxi dress.

The blonde beauty posed up a storm on the shores of Miami and seemed completely at ease being in the spotlight in the tiny bikini.

She threw her arms up in the air and played with the sheer turquoise blouse, dipping in and out of the water in the process.

Meanwhile, a team of photographers, assistants and makeup artists followed her around to ensure every inch of her well-toned body looked its best.

Later in the day, Erin got out of the water and onto the beach to model some more fashionable outfits.

The model posed in a range of 60s inspired dresses, using a car and a lamppost as her props.

And just like all the other famous VS models, Erin is admired for her toned figure. And she recently spoke about how she maintains her slender physique, claiming it's all about the 'butt lift' exercises.

'I've learned a lot about diet in my years of being an Angel. A mistake a lot of girls make is that they work out but don't eat enough,' she said. 'If you're not eating enough, all the work outs are doing, it's not going to show.'

She continued: 'You could be doing a million butt lifts, but your butt is not going to get any bigger because there is nothing to build on. Your body needs food to make that happen.'

The blonde beauty recently graced the catwalk in the hotly-anticipated lingerie show for the fifth time, but says her exercise regime requires her to wake up at 6am.

'I work out twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed. I'll start with half an hour of running and then some yoga to stretch everything out so everything is warm,' she explained.

'In the evening I do butt lifts. It's important to be fit, but you shouldn't get too skinny. You need to have curves.'

The star spoke about having to pose in the tiny pieces of lingerie, and said she's not at all worried about it anymore.

'I’m free of inhibitions,' she said. 'I think wearing lingerie, it allows you to feel free and sexy!'

Talking about her beach babe look, she said: 'I have the opportunity to work with such talented hair and makeup artists. They know how to get the perfect sexy bedhead look. I try to do it at home but it’s harder than it looks!'
