The striking resemblance between Kate Beckinsale and her daughter is so strong they could be mistaken for sisters.

The Underworld: Awakening star looked amazing as she holidayed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with daughter Lily Mo Sheen.

Kate, 39, showed off her amazing beach body as she hung out with her family and some close friends in the sunshine.

Wearing a strapless white bikini the British star looked younger than her years as she showed off her toned and tanned torso.

With her long brown mane down and a pair of sunglasses hiding her eyes, Kate looked every inch the Hollywood superstar.

She teamed the bikini top with a sheer white maxi-dress as she casually chatted and relaxed with the large group of females.

While her mother was flaunting her incredible body around the beach side resort, Lily Mo was much more low key.

The 14-year-old was perhaps feeling the cold as she covered her black and white halterneck bikini top with a white towel.

Lily took full advantage of her downtime and stay laid down on a sun-lounger playing with her mobile phone as Kate delicately stroked her head.

With the temperature not being too unbearable none of the group needed to cool off in the pool.

Instead of hitting the beach the girls simply sat around chatting and catching up.

The chilled out holiday break is something Kate is in need of as she is due to start filming her next movie project Eliza Graves, soon.

In the thriller Kate plays a patient in a mental institution which has been taken over by its inmates.

She quickly catches the eye of a new medical school graduate, but the man has no idea the hospital's role have been reversed.
