Coming Soon "Sharknado" Los Angeles 'destroyed by flying sharks sucked up by tornado'

Is this the most ridiculous movie ever made? Los Angeles 'destroyed by flying sharks sucked up by tornado'

Oh, to have been a fly on the wall when the idea of Sharknado was pitched.
It's a simple concept; thousands and thousands of sharks are sucked out of the ocean by a ferocious tornado then hammered onto the streets of L.A and sights of Hollywood... with devastating effects.
A small band of brave defenders - portrayed by Z-list veterans like 90210's Ian Ziering and American Pie's Tara Reid - attempt to defend the City of Angels with chainsaws and not much else.

Tinseltown trauma: The very heart of Hollywood - a big plastic sign - is destroyed in the movie

Corny lines like 'we can't just stand here and wait for sharks to fall out of the sky' and 'we're going to need a bigger chopper' pepper the trailer.
But the biggest treat is seeing the sights and scenes of Los Angeles destroyed by this highly improbable freak occurrence.
The iconic Hollywood sign meets a fishy end, as does the famous lettering of the iconic Hotel Roosevelt, a favourite haunt - some say literally - of Marilyn Monroe.

Sharknado airs on Syfy, Thursday at 9pm ET/PT
But the beach resorts don't escape from the drama as one of the most dramatic scenes shows the ferris wheel on Santa Monica pier coming loose in the wind.
The made-for-TV movie is to be shown on Universal's Syfy network on Thursday, but it's sure to become an instant classic on the internet before long.
At one point in the trailer, Ziering chops one of the sharks in half with a chainsaw.

We're all doomed: How you feel if all that stood between you and self destruction was this rabble?

Not explained so far is how the cheeky predators take advantage of what should be a terrifying experience to manage to hurtle towards the ground with their mouths open.
Obviously this gives rise to dozens of grisly and utterly entertaining human sharkbait moments.
Enough said! Sure to become a cult classic, the Sharknado poster is a thing of wonder
