A shark is usually the last thing one wants to see at the beach.
But if one designer has her way, the fearsome fish looks set to be making a splash on sunloungers and seasides everywhere this summer.
The Sharkini, by Bad Aby Designs, is a gray swimsuit with a jaw-shaped cut-out at the midriff, complete with white leatherette teeth.

The made-to-order costume, which costs $100 apiece, is certainly fun, but it does have its drawbacks.
Those without a washboard stomach should proceed with caution - that cutaway 'bite' will not be forgiving.

Those that do decide to take the plunge will have to wait three to four weeks for their new swimsuit - but it promises to be worth the wait. Each order can be customized with different colorways and shoulder straps - you can even alter the type of padding at the bust.
And if you want to rush your Sharkini order in time for Shark Week in 12 days time, Bad Aby Designs can speed it through for an extra $50.
