Being Honest! Jessica Alba reveals she has made people cry as the tough boss of her billion-dollar eco-friendly business

She's yet to appear in the Horrible Bosses film franchise.
But Jessica Alba was close to describing herself as one in a cover interview for More Magazine's May edition.
The actress, who launched her eco-friendly Honest Company line of baby products two years ago, admitted she is still learning to be a better manager, saying: 'Sometimes I’m a little more iron fist than velvet glove. I’m straight to the point.

'I’ve made people cry. I have to say, "This isn’t personal. This is what needs to get done, and it’s just as simple as that. And … we’re not crying anymore." I’m learning to tone myself down.'
It's something to think about as the head of a business valued at $1 billion that she created after becoming a mother to six-year-old Honor, and Haven, aged three, with husband Cash Warren.
The Sin City star, who turned 34 today, quickly expanded the line from purely baby products and accessories to non-toxic household products, worried by the possible links between chemicals and various illnesses.
'The increases have coincided with the rise of these untested, potentially harmful chemicals. If [the government] won’t safeguard my family, I’m going to have to,' she explained.
And she intends to move into feminine hygiene with what she described as an 'organic tampon.'
'I’m also working on skin care, hair care, mattresses, air filters, paint. Our customers really want paint.'
Jessica believes her onscreen career has helped her business career, telling More: 'The reality is I’ve been selling other people’s TV products, beauty products, movie products. I’m leveraging skills I’ve honed in Hollywood for years.'

And the woman described by her mother Cathy as a  'workaholic control freak,' added: 'Being an actress is like a vacation; business is relentless. People work hard here. It’s nice to be around people who are so committed.'
The actress, who has five films in the works this year, took some time out to model four different looks for the More photoshoot.
In the cover shot, the ombre blond wore a white dress with three wavy lines across the front in dark brown, beige and pink.

For the inside snaps, taken next to a pool, she donned a striped romper before changing into a diaphanous light pink dress with a pattern of dark pink flowers as she lay back on a recliner.
For the last picture, Jessica slipped into a green top and matching palazzo trousers with bold black and yellow flowers
Meanwhile, the beauty celebrated her 34th birthday with a trip to Santa Monica on Tuesday.
Jessica dressed casually for the outing in a blue jacket over a black playsuit with lace detail at the neck and hem, opaque black tights and black ankle boots.
