X Factor's Mason Noise bows out with a sarcastic remark as he is unexpectedly eliminated in surprise flash poll

'Thanks to everyone who didn't vote': X Factor's Mason Noise bows out with a sarcastic remark as he is unexpectedly eliminated in surprise flash poll

Mason Noise has been eliminated from X Factor in a surprising flash vote.
The handsome wannabe was banished from the show for a second time after receiving the fewest number of public votes.
Co-host Olly Murs delivered the blow live on Saturday's show, which saw the contestants whittled down even further as music bosses aim to find a new star.

The Midlands-born hopeful found himself in the bottom three alongside Anton Stephens and 4th Impact.
'Thank you to everyone who voted, thank you to everyone who didn't vote as well,' he says, fairly diplomatically.
'He's exactly the kind of popstar we need,' added mentor Nick Grimshaw. 'I'm not worried about the future of Mason at all.'

The shock announcement comes after Cheryl Fernandez-Versini revealed on Twitter that one act would lose their spot in the competition.
Making the shock announcement on Saturday night, just one hour before the live show, the petite brunette said that 10 minutes before the end of the show, one act would be voted off.
The 32-year-old has two acts left in the competition, Reggie 'N' Bolie and 4th Impact, but she has certainly been putting in the leg work by dedicating time to them in rehearsals, week after week.

Cheryl wrote on Twitter: 'SO TONIGHT IS DIFFERENT !!! SOMEBODY WILL LEAVE AFTER 10MINUTES OF VOTING AT THE END OF THE SHOW!! WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER ❤️'
She seemed to leave the London studio with quiet confidence on Friday afternoon, beaming from ear to ear after spending a day with both of her acts.
The star lost her first act Alien Uncovered in the opening weekend of X Factor's live shows but has bounced back with some of the top performances each week.
Her lost act heaped high praise on the former Girls Aloud star after they were eliminated, as a testament to her hard work.
Speaking after their exit, the band told breakfast TV show This Morning: 'She really understood us as a group. Obviously we're quite different, not the usual girl group you get, so we were lucky she understood what Alien was about.'

Cheryl has strong competition nonetheless, because Rita Ora, Simon Cowell and Nick Grimshaw also have strong acts left. The theme this week is Love & Heartbreak and the pair's song choices were revealed on Friday afternoon.
Reggie 'N' Bollie will be getting the audience grooving to a mash-up of Dangerous Love and Shut Up And Dance, by Fuse ODG and Walk The Moon respectively.
4th Impact, meanwhile, will be hitting the high notes for Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man.
However, Mason's exit was the only drama on the show. Tensions reached fever pitch when Nick Grimshaw sparked a spat with Simon Cowell and his last-remaining act, Anton Stephens.

The trio found themselves in an awkward exchange which was broadcast live to the nation.
It came after Anton performed a heartfelt rendition of One Sweet Day, which Nick instantly dismissed as being 'cold'.
'I just wasn't feeling that,' he said, bursting Anton's bubble. 'That wasn't the best track for you. It's a very emotional song and it felt cold. It seemed fake.'
Clearly upset y the comments, Anton snapped back: 'Excuse me, but this is all real. The set and the outfit might be fake, but I am real.'
Like a dog with a bone, Nick hit back: 'That's fine, but I didn't say you were fake - I said I wasn't feeling it. There's no need to be aggressive.'
Adding more tension, Anton retorted: 'I'm not being aggressive, but there's no need to be rude. I gave that everything and it was genuine'.
Defensive: Simon took exception to his co-judges and their rather direct comments on Anton

Nervous? Anton was reduced to the tears after the exchange, which was broadcast live across the nation
As the other judges, Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, also poured scorn on the hopeful's performance, Simon also waded into the debate.
He directly challenged Nick's level of criticism and praised his last-remaining act, but this only cause matters to worsen.
Before long Rita Ora was forced to jump in and try to diffuse the situation before it worsened.
Fortunately, there were other acts to distract from the tension, which included Che Chesterman's impressive opening version of Yesterday, 4th Impact's rendition of Christina Aguilera's Aint No Other Man.
