But Tove Lo eschewed such formalities as she exposed her breasts while performing at the Jingle Ball in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

No doubt the Swedish electropop beauty will argue she covered her nipples with black pasties, though from a distance they made her over-adventurous choice of attire stand out all the more.

The 29-year-old cannot be accused of leaving much to the imagination in her yellow fishnet top, tights and trainers.

And the Habits (Stay High) favourite rounded off her look with a pair of pink leopard print hotpants that were cut in such a way as they looked like a neon-infused sumo wrestler's nappy.

But it was not just Tove, whose real name is Ebba Nilsson, who was flaunting her form at the event.

For Ellie Goulding put her pins on display in a high cut dress as she showed off her rudimentary guitar skills during her set.

The annual tour, which appears at 12 cities this year, is airing its New York date, which is headlined by Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, on Friday on CWTV.com.
